XT Alternative is an internet radio station built around alternative music in its many forms. Its playlists reach beyond the mainstream charts, drawing on indie rock, alternative anthems, grunge, Britpop and modern guitar bands alongside the occasional electronic crossover. With little presenter clutter, the emphasis stays on discovery — mixing established alternative classics with newer acts that rarely make commercial playlists. For listeners who find daytime radio too predictable, XT Alternative offers an online refuge where the left-of-centre is not a specialist slot but the whole point.
