Groove Salad was the second channel launched by SomaFM, the listener-supported, commercial-free internet radio service Rusty Hodge founded in San Francisco in February 2000, and it remains its signature sound. The playlist is a nicely chilled plate of ambient and downtempo beats: slow grooves, trip-hop textures and mellow electronica mixed for focus or unwinding. Like every SomaFM channel it carries no advertising and is funded entirely by listener donations.
