Radio Robotic is a New Zealand-based online station built around alternative and indie music discovery. Its playlists roam across indie rock, indie pop and electronic sounds, mixing established alternative acts with lesser-known releases. A particular focus is giving independent artists a platform — the station showcases emerging New Zealand musicians alongside new talent from overseas, and rounds out the music with artist interviews, music news and album reviews. Broadcasting in English via its web stream, it aims squarely at listeners who find mainstream radio too predictable.
