Radio Kerry has been the full-service local station for County Kerry since it began broadcasting on 14 July 1990. Headquartered in Tralee, with additional studios in Killarney and Cahersiveen, it covers the county on five FM frequencies between 96.2 and 97.6 MHz and broadcasts 24 hours a day. The schedule is a classic local radio mix: news and current affairs rooted in Kerry life, sport with a particular passion for Gaelic games, music, community notices and the famous death notices that keep the diaspora connected. Independently owned and proudly local, it has repeatedly been named among Ireland's favourite local stations.
