Radio Chinese FM 90.6 serves Chinese-speaking listeners in New Zealand with programming in Mandarin and Cantonese traditions. Centred on its 90.6 FM identity, the station combines Chinese popular music — Mandopop and Cantopop favourites — with news, talk and community information relevant to migrants and local Chinese businesses. For newer arrivals it provides a familiar-language connection to home, while for longer-settled families it helps maintain language and culture, reflecting the size and diversity of New Zealand’s Chinese communities.
