Onic Classical is a digital station devoted to classical music from Onic, the Irish radio group formerly known as Wireless Ireland. It was launched as part of the group's March 2025 expansion into digital-first services, which brought ten new niche stations to the DAB+ trial across Leinster and to online listeners. The stream offers a continuous selection of orchestral, chamber and choral favourites — a calm counterpoint to the group's pop and talk brands such as FM104 and Cork's 96FM. It exemplifies how established radio groups are using digital platforms to serve specialist audiences that a single FM schedule could never accommodate.
