MPR News is the news service of Minnesota Public Radio, anchored by KNOW-FM 91.1 in Saint Paul, whose 100,000-watt signal leads the largest regional public radio network in the United States. MPR began on 22 January 1967 as KSJR-FM at Saint John's University in Collegeville and was built into a network by founding president William H. Kling. The service blends NPR's Morning Edition, All Things Considered and Marketplace with Minnesota reporting such as Minnesota Now — listener-supported journalism around the clock.
