A specialist web stream for collectors and crate-diggers, International Rare Groove digs into the funk, soul, jazz-funk and Afrobeat obscurities that DJs call rare groove. The term took hold in London's club scene in the 1980s, when DJs such as Norman Jay built sets from overlooked American funk and soul records. This station keeps that tradition alive online, favouring deep cuts and forgotten pressings over the obvious classics.
