MPB Radio 1 is an online station dedicated to MPB — Música Popular Brasileira, the rich tradition of Brazilian popular music. Its playlist draws on the great singer-songwriters and interpreters of Brazil, from bossa nova and samba-influenced classics to the contemporary artists who continue to redefine the genre. Broadcasting over the internet rather than FM, it brings the sound of Brazil to listeners in Ireland and around the world, including the Brazilian community living abroad. For fans of melodic, lyric-driven songwriting, it offers a round-the-clock celebration of one of the world's most influential popular music cultures.
