MIX FM Wellington is a small capital-city station trading on variety — a mix format for Wellington listeners that blends familiar pop and oldies rather than chasing a single genre. Operating at the local, low-power end of Wellington’s crowded dial, it offers an easy-listening alternative to the big NZME and MediaWorks networks headquartered in the same city. With little published corporate history, its proposition is straightforward: recognisable songs and a relaxed local feel for Wellingtonians at home, at work and around the harbour.
