Listed among Auckland's internet stations, metalradio.co.nz is an online-only service built for one thing: heavy metal, around the clock. With no FM frequency and no mainstream concessions, it serves New Zealand metalheads a continuous stream spanning the genre's many substyles — the kind of dedicated channel that commercial rock radio, which only flirts with metal, never provides. For listeners who want riffs without interruption, it streams free on the web.
