Jazz Cafe is an Auckland-based online station in the Wandering Sheep Radio Network, run by the HCJB Global (New Zealand) Trust from Penrose. Its recipe is an uplifting brew of fresh and golden smooth jazz — mellow saxophone, piano and guitar-led instrumentals mixed with smooth vocal tracks — given a gentle Christian flavouring in keeping with the network's ethos. As an internet service it reaches listeners well beyond Auckland, offering a calm, café-style soundtrack for work, study or unwinding, quite distinct from the talk-heavy programming of mainstream New Zealand radio.
