Christmas FM is Ireland's festive radio phenomenon: since 2008 it has returned to FM frequencies across the country every year, playing Christmas music 24 hours a day from late November until St Stephen's Day. Run almost entirely by volunteers, the station raises money for an annual charity partner while its presenters build the excitement towards the big day itself. It has become a beloved seasonal ritual for Irish listeners, and outside the festive run the music continues all year round on the station's online streams.
