C103 West is the west Cork service of C103, the local station that has served Cork city and county since launching as County Sound 103FM on 26 January 1990. Broadcasting from a studio in Bandon on frequencies within the 102.6–103.9 FM range, the west service gives listeners in towns such as Bandon, Clonakilty and Bantry a schedule tailored to their area, with local news, community information and the station's familiar greatest-hits music mix. C103 is operated as a dual franchise with Cork's 96FM and is part of Onic, News UK's Irish radio group. Its more talk-oriented style distinguishes it from its music-led sister station.
