Arrow FM fired its first shot on 2 March 1986 — a three-hour weekly broadcast that has since grown into a non-stop community access station for the Wairarapa on 92.7 FM. Based in Masterton and supported by the district councils, it gives airtime to groups from Rape Crisis and Trade Aid to the local library, film society and schools. With a small roster of shows, New Zealand music takes up much of the remaining airtime, making Arrow one of the twelve NZ On Air-funded access stations.
