Broadcasting on 98 FM from St Pauls, Ujima Radio has been Bristol's voice for its African and Caribbean communities since 2008. Run by the not-for-profit Ujima Radio CIC and powered by more than a hundred volunteers, it mixes local news and discussion with music from Bristol, the Caribbean and Africa, 24 hours a day. The station expanded onto DAB in 2023, and in 2016 became the first radio station in the UK to receive Arts Council England funding.
