From the tiny prairie village of Rumsey, Alberta, Rumsey Retro Radio began in 2009 when Bob Braaksma set out to share his collection of antique radio programs with friends. It has since grown into a local and online station broadcasting old-time radio drama, comedy and music from the 1930s and 1940s over a low-power AM signal at 1580, and streaming the same golden-age fare to listeners worldwide.
