Radio Free Texas, based in Nederland in the Beaumont area, has played Texas and Red Dirt music twenty-four hours a day since 2005, and calls itself the largest Texas music station and community on the internet. Its deep catalog runs from Robert Earl Keen and Reckless Kelly to Randy Rogers Band and hundreds of independent Texas artists mainstream country radio ignores. Listening and requests are free — listeners pick songs around the clock, and nobody pays for a spin.
