Wired FM 99.9 is Limerick's licensed student radio station, first licensed in 1995 and run in partnership by Mary Immaculate College and the Technological University of the Shannon. More than 120 student volunteers produce and present its programmes from studios on both campuses, broadcasting across Limerick city on 99.9 FM during term time and streaming online around the clock. A member of CRAOL, it mixes new music, specialist shows, talk and student issues, and has launched many Irish broadcasting careers — giving Limerick's students a genuine voice of their own.
