TWR Malawi is the Malawian ministry of Trans World Radio, which began operating in the country in 1986 by producing programmes for shortwave transmission from Swaziland. It launched FM broadcasting from Blantyre in December 2000, moved its national office and transmission headquarters to Lilongwe in 2004, and now runs a network of transmitters covering almost all districts from Chitipa to Nsanje. Its Christian programmes air 24 hours a day in Chichewa, English and Chitumbuka.
