The Jazz Groove (East) is one of the laid-back jazz mixes from The Jazz Groove, the non-profit, listener-supported service at jazzgroove.org that launched in 2016. Its musicologists hand-blend a library of more than 10,000 jazz recordings spanning seven decades, favouring mellow, sophisticated playing over showy virtuosity. The East mix is a main-channel blend — think quiet piano trios, soft horns and vocal standards — designed for dining rooms, offices and unwinding, with premium tiers offering CD-quality audio.
