talkSPORT 2 is the sister station to talkSPORT, launched on 15 March 2016 as part of News UK's expansion of its national digital radio services. Where the main station mixes debate with commentary, talkSPORT 2 concentrates on live sport itself — football, cricket, rugby and darts coverage that cannot fit on the flagship. It broadcasts nationally on DAB and online, carrying events such as overseas cricket tours and additional Premier League fixtures.
