Talk Radio 702 is the long-established name of Primedia’s Gauteng talk powerhouse, heard on 92.7 and 106 FM. Founded by entrepreneurs Issie and Natie Kirsh, it began broadcasting on 28 June 1980 and spent its first decades on the AM band before adding FM in 2006. Talk, news and listener debate have defined it since 1988, when it swapped Top 40 music for conversation.
