Synthwave City FM is a 'new' online station built around the retro-futuristic sound of synthwave. Its rotation is filled with analogue synthesizers, gated reverb drums and neon-soaked melodies inspired by 1980s film soundtracks, arcade games and outrun aesthetics — from chillwave for late-night cruising to heavier darksynth. The programming runs non-stop without presenters, aiming squarely at listeners who love the decade of VHS tapes and chrome logos. Synthwave City FM broadcasts exclusively over the internet and fits the global wave of synthwave stations that emerged alongside the genre's online revival.
