SWU FM is Bristol's community dance and underground music station, now part of the Rinse group. It first took to the air for a short-term broadcast on 87.7 FM in May 2016, tasked with celebrating Bristol's music culture, and later secured a permanent home on 103.7 FM in 2020. After closing for financial reasons, it was relaunched by Rinse in April 2023, championing the Bristol sound — trip-hop's birthplace, drum and bass, dubstep and local selectors.
