Launched on 1 July 1998 on the same day as its sister station Hiru FM, Sun FM is Asia Broadcasting Corporation’s English channel for young listeners, heard on 98.7 and 98.9 FM. Its upbeat format of current international hits and entertainment segments made it a trend-setter among Sri Lanka’s English youth stations.
