Sunday Baroque is the syndicated weekend companion of American public radio: four hours of Baroque and early music, hosted and produced by flutist Suzanne Bona. She created the programme in 1987 at WSHU in Connecticut; it has been distributed nationally since 1998 and now airs on roughly 300 stations. Bach, Handel and Vivaldi anchor a deliberately fresh, unhurried mix of familiar and forgotten composers.
