Star FM made history on 25 June 2012 as Zimbabwe's first commercial radio station, going live at midday from Harare. Owned by Zimpapers, it broadcasts on 89.7 MHz in the capital and 93.1 MHz in Bulawayo. A mainstream mix of music, news and talk has made it one of the country's best-known commercial brands.
