South East Radio has been the voice of County Wexford since it launched on 20 October 1989, one of the first wave of licensed local stations in Ireland. The team behind it had previously run the pirate station Slaneyside, and the licensed service broadcasts from studios on Custom House Quay in Wexford town on 95.6, 96.2 and 96.4 FM. Its schedule blends music with a strong emphasis on local news, sport and talk, championing the issues that matter to Wexford communities. Long independently owned by the Buttle family, the station became part of Tindle Radio, the group behind Midlands 103, in 2025.
