Sompa 93.1 FM arrived in Kumasi in January 2022 and quickly shook up the Ashanti market, signing high-profile presenters including political talk host Omanhene Yaw Adu Boakye. Based at Suame and run by Teraone Media — which also operates Sompa TV — the station broadcasts in the Akan mould under the slogan “Ema akatua pa”.
