Vaporwave's hazy, slowed-down samples get their own corner of SomaFM here. Vaporwaves loops chopped fragments of 80s and 90s pop, smooth jazz and elevator music into a dreamy, internet-born soundscape. Like the rest of SomaFM, it is commercial-free and listener-supported, run from San Francisco by founder Rusty Hodge, who launched the network in 2000. It is less a playlist than a mood: nostalgic, woozy and strangely relaxing.
