Space Station Soma is one of the longest-running channels on SomaFM, the San Francisco internet radio pioneer founded in 2000 by Rusty Hodge and kept on air entirely by listener donations. Added in 2006, the channel lives up to its motto — "tune in, turn on, space out" — with spaced-out ambient and mid-tempo electronica, mostly analog-inspired electronic music from 1990 to today, beamed, as SomaFM jokes, from geostationary orbit.
