Not music at all, SomaFM's SF Police Scanner is a live public-safety scanner feed from San Francisco, relaying police, fire and EMS dispatch traffic as it happens. It sits inside Rusty Hodge's listener-supported SomaFM network as the documentary counterpoint to its music channels — raw, unedited city audio, from routine call-outs to major incidents. Scanner hobbyists and homesick San Franciscans alike keep it running as an ear on the city.
