SF 10-33 may be SomaFM's most San Francisco channel: ambient music mixed with live San Francisco public safety radio traffic. Named for the police radio code signalling emergency traffic, it layers calm, spacious ambient pieces under the clipped voices of the city's dispatchers and responders, turning the hometown chatter of SomaFM's own city into an accidental soundscape. The result is meditative and slightly surreal, a portrait of San Francisco heard after dark.
