Seven Inch Soul is SomaFM's tribute to the 45 RPM single. The channel digs into classic soul and R&B of the 1960s and 1970s — Motown, Stax and a hundred smaller labels — favouring the crackle and punch of the seven-inch format. As part of San Francisco's listener-supported SomaFM network, founded in 2000, it carries no advertising, just a DJ's crate of soul singles spinning around the clock.
