PopTron is SomaFM's shot of pure electronic pop energy. Part of the San Francisco listener-supported network founded by Rusty Hodge in 2000, the channel mixes electro-pop, indie dance and synth-driven alternative — catchy, upbeat and a little left of the mainstream. Like every SomaFM station it is commercial-free and human-curated, a dance party assembled by people rather than algorithms.
