Metal Detector is where SomaFM keeps the heavy end of its catalogue. SomaFM — San Francisco's listener-supported web radio service, founded by Rusty Hodge in 2000 — programs this channel across the metal spectrum, from classic heavy metal and thrash to darker, more extreme corners of the genre. Heard here on the 128k AAC feed, it is a specialist stream for listeners who find ordinary rock radio far too polite.
