Lush is SomaFM's mellow vocal channel: sensuous, mostly female voices floating over downtempo and chillout production. It sits a step softer than the network's ambient streams, keeping a human voice at the centre of the mix. Like every SomaFM channel, it is commercial-free and listener-supported, broadcasting from San Francisco, where Rusty Hodge founded the service in 2000 and built it into a pioneer of independent internet radio.
