Illinois Street Lounge is SomaFM's cocktail-hour time machine, part of the commercial-free, listener-supported San Francisco service founded in 2000. In SomaFM's own words it serves classic bachelor pad music, playful exotica and the vintage music of tomorrow: mid-century lounge, space-age pop, Latin jazz and Esquivel-era stereo novelties. This 128k MP3 listing delivers the full retro mix, equal parts sophistication and kitsch, mixed for martini-hour listening.
