For the heavy end of the SomaFM family, this stream carries Dub Step Beyond, the channel devoted to dubstep, dub and deep bass. SomaFM itself is Rusty Hodge's listener-supported, commercial-free internet station from San Francisco, on air since February 2000 and funded by donations rather than ads. Dub Step Beyond is its speaker-testing corner: wobble bass, half-time drops and low-end pressure, with the channel's own warning that it may damage speakers at high volume.
