Deep Space One is SomaFM's voyage into deep space ambient: extremely slow, weightless drones and cosmic textures that seem to hang in orbit rather than play in a room. It is one of the network's most minimal channels, programmed for meditation, sleep and the small hours, and it streams in MP3 from the listener-supported, commercial-free service Rusty Hodge launched in San Francisco in 2000. If Drone Zone is a drift, Deep Space One is the void beyond it.
