Covers is exactly what its name promises, in SomaFM's own words: 'Just covers. Songs you know by artists you don't.' Every track is a cover version — familiar songs rebuilt as folk ballads, jazz standards, electronic reworks or indie reinterpretations. It belongs to the SomaFM family Rusty Hodge founded in San Francisco in 2000, listener-supported and commercial-free, and its pleasure is the double-take: a melody you have known for years arriving in a voice you have never heard.
