CliqHop IDM is SomaFM's corner for intelligent dance music — the glitchy, intricate electronica associated with labels like Warp and artists such as Aphex Twin, Autechre and Boards of Canada. It favours rhythm as texture: broken beats, micro-edits and melodic fragments rather than club bangers. Like all SomaFM channels, it is listener-supported and commercial-free, part of the San Francisco network Rusty Hodge launched in 2000 for listeners who want electronic music for the mind as much as the feet.
