Boot Liquor is SomaFM's Americana channel — "boot liquor" being Prohibition slang for the good stuff smuggled in a boot. From the San Francisco network Rusty Hodge founded in 2000, listener-supported and commercial-free, it pours out classic country, honky-tonk, Western swing, alt-country and roots rock: Hank, Waylon, Lucinda and their modern heirs. It sounds like a dusty honky-tonk jukebox that never runs out of quarters.
