Smooth 105.6 FM is a New Zealand easy-listening stream devoted to mellow favourites — the kind of station built for relaxed workdays and quiet evenings. Its playlist favours soft pop, soul ballads and smooth classics from past decades through to today, presented with minimal interruption so the music sets the mood. Broadcasting online rather than chasing a mass-market FM audience, it sits in the same laid-back family as the smooth jazz and soul services popular with Kiwi internet listeners: familiar voices, gentle tempos and an unhurried feel from morning to night.
