Slam 100.5 first hit the air on April 10, 2011, and quickly became Port of Spain's urban powerhouse for younger listeners. Part of Guardian Media's TBC Radio Network, it runs an urban blend of soca, dancehall and reggae, and come Carnival season it is known for flipping to marathon all-soca programming in the run-up to Ash Wednesday.
