RTRFM is Perth’s independent community radio station, broadcasting on 92.1 FM and billing itself as The Sound Alternative. It began on 1 April 1977 as 6UWA at the University of Western Australia, and now, from its Mount Lawley home, volunteers present more than 50 specialist programs championing local music, arts and culture.
