Ireland's national flagship station, RTÉ Radio 1 has been at the centre of Irish life since the national service began in 1926. Broadcasting on 87.8–90.2 FM, it mixes news, current affairs, sport, drama and arts, and is home to Morning Ireland, the most listened-to programme on Irish radio, alongside long-running fixtures such as Liveline. As the senior service of public broadcaster RTÉ, it sets the agenda for the day's national conversation.
