Radyo Şivan Perwer is an online station devoted entirely to Şivan Perwer, the Kurdish singer, poet and tembûr player born in Viranşehir in 1955. His songs, banned for years in Turkey, Iraq and Syria and smuggled across borders, made him the best-known voice of Kurdish folk music across more than thirty albums, and the stream plays them around the clock.
