Radio Swiss Pop is SRG SSR's pop and rock channel and, together with Swiss Classic and Swiss Jazz, forms the Radio Swiss family of advertising-free music services that began in 1998 as Swiss Satellite Radio. The station plays a broad mix of international pop and rock from the past decades to today, with a noticeably strong share of Swiss artists — a deliberate part of its public-service remit to promote homegrown music. There is virtually no speech content: just music, distributed across Switzerland via DAB+, cable and satellite and worldwide via internet stream, making it an easy, continuous companion throughout the day.
